Making a difference,

If you're like me you may need a hankie....
This is from Mountain Seed Foundation
I was so grateful when Katie Beacock donated the quilt back to Mountain Seed Foundation so they could present it to a family in the program. This is what they said
"For our launch in Ukraine, we have chosen a Ukrainian veteran named Eduard, his wife Iryna and their two kids Denys and Emilia to receive your beautiful quilt. They attended our Healing Base Camp last summer in Kaprun (photo of Eduard in the middle, between our therapists and his little daughter in the front). Their family will attend our launch as our first peer-to-peer support as they transition from participants to mentors for our new families. Eduard lost his hand and suffered multiple TBIs during his time on the frontlines defending Ukraine. His unit was deployed in the east, reclaiming territory and liberating Ukrainian towns from Russian control. During his last battle, he lost his entire unit after heavy missile fire. He lives each day now with a purpose to tell the stories of his fellow soldiers through his YouTube channel. His wife is a soulful caretaker and she builds a community among the military wives, albeit with guilt that she has her husband and many of them do not. Denys, their tween son, has autism but pushed his own limits and climbed with us last summer. Emilia is a 5 year old tornado that is fearless and conquers every challenge we give her! I couldn't think of a better family to present this amazing quilt to - they will undoubtedly cherish the thought and love that went into it, as well as the outpouring of donations that will support our programs for other families."
The pictures are of the family and KATIE when she donated back the quilt. PLEASE consider donating to this great organization. THANKS everyone who bought tickets. LOOK AT WHAT YOU DID!
